Buying Guide

Home/Buying Guide

Below are some helpful answers to frequently asked questions in buying products online. Please read through, and should you have any further questions, please feel free to send a message.

The majority of my images are in a 2:3 ratio size. This might cause the need for cropping during the ordering process, in order to fit your chosen print size. during the customisation of your order, you can choose how the image should be cropped. Note: Cropping might affect the overall look and feel of the image, and some images will suit cropping better than others.

When going through the ordering process, you will be presented with the option to turn “Colouring Correction” on or off. When this is turned on, this allows the printing lab to adjust colours for the best print. Please note that various monitors colours are rendered differently, and as a result the final printed colours might not be 100% as you see it on your computer screen.

No the watermark will not print. The watermark shown on images in the online shop is purely to protect my images from digital theft. Your images will not include any markings.

Yes you can.

Unfortunately you cannot change images between colour and black-and-white by yourself. However, should there be an image that you would like change, please feel free to get in touch and we will adjust and upload a new image to the shop.

During the ordering process you can select the “Colour correct” option, which allows the printing lab to adjust the colours to ensure they print correctly.

Once you are in the appropriate gallery, click on the image you would like to order. This will open the single image in your web browser. Above the image there will be a menu option “BUY”. When you hover your cursor over the option, a drop-down list will appear where you can select your product, save the image for purchasing later or you can view your cart if you have already selected other products. Click on the “SELECT PRODUCT” option. You will now be presented with a screen where you can choose your desired product.

FRAMED PRINTS:  This category is where you can order frames photo prints. When purchasing in GBP or EUR, your image will automatically be framed and priced accordingly. When purchasing in CAD and USD, you will first be purchasing a print, after which you will be given the opportunity to add a frame.

SHOWCASE:  From this category  you can choose between Acrylic, Canvas Wrap Round, Box Frames and Coloured Edge Blocks.

Select the Framed Prints option from the product selection and choose the print size from the options available (select between Small Framed Prints and Medium/Large Framed Prints). Sizing is done based on the frame and the print individually – selections where the frame and print are not the same includes a mount. You can choose whether you would like a single or double mount. Click on “ADD TO CART” once you are happy with your selection.

All customisation happens within the cart, so if you are happy with your choice(s) click on “VIEW CART”

For the particular image you will be presented with four customisation options:

Cropping:  Click on the red text stating “Centered (Is this OK?)” This will open the image in a separate screen (within a mock up of the chosen frame). By clicking on the image you can drag it around within the frame until you are happy with the crop.

Colour correction:  When this is turned on, this allows the printing lab to adjust colours for the best print. Please note that various monitors colours are rendered differently, and as a result the final printed colours might not be 100% as you see it on your computer screen.

Frame option:  The default frame option is a “Simply Black Frame” which drives the base cost of the frame. When clicking on the “change” option, you will be presented with a variety of frames in the right hand bar noting the additional cost with the particular frame. If you make a selection, there will be a preview mockup on the screen before you confirm the selection. My personal favourite frames to go with the images are Confetti Black, Confetti White and Whitewashed.

Mounts:  When you have selected an option where the print is smaller than the frame, there will be a mount placed in the frame to make up for the missing space. This is a very nice way to emphasise and draw attention to the image. Once again if you select the “change” option, you will be presented with a variety of mount colours in the right hand bar noting the additional cost with the particular mount. If you make a selection, there will be a preview mockup on the screen before you confirm the selection.
